The artwork found in the game was adapted from the artwork found in the book and film KING of GLORY, produced by ROCK International. Andrew Harmon (game designer) worked on the KING of GLORY project from 2011-2015, which was a significant inspiration for the game.
KING of GLORY is a beautifully illustrated book written by Paul D. Bramsen and illustrated by Arminda San Martin, which tells the story and message behind the world’s best seller, the Bible. Starting with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden the book takes you through significant events in biblical history, revealing the mission of the King of eternity.
Later, the book was adapted into a 15-episode video series. While seventy beautifully illustrated images were created for the book, the film expanded the library of images to thousands. The images you see in the game artwork were adapted from this library.
Creating the artwork for each card involves layers. Lots of layers. Backdrops, trees, rocks, characters, are all pulled from the library. After the individual assets are added to the scene, the image is tweaked to give one consistent look and feel. Shadows and color filters can help accomplish this. Once satisfied with the results, the artwork is ready to be applied to the card.
